BOY WONDER

 

 

DJ Boywonder(Michael Ybarra-San Jose, CA) has been serving the bay area for over 23 years since 1989/90. DJ Boywonder started at the local DJ battles and playing at the local high schools, junior highs, colleges(UC Berkely, UC Davis, Stanford, San Jose State, Santa Clara University) and college stations. 

DJ Boywonder then sparked the airwaves as a guest mixer on HOT 97.7 and San Francisco's WILD 107. He then landed a position as one of the bay area's WILD STYLE MIXERS on 94.9 and a Friday afternoon show with ST.JOHNS Playhouse with Freestyle Friday's. 

From 1990-2003 DJ BOYWONDER was Lowrider Magazine's Tour DJ playing on the main stage throughout the southwest with the likes of Ice-Cube, Mary Jane Girls, the Gap Band, Angelina, Jocelyn Enriquez, Warren G., the DOGG POUND, Rob Base, Brenton Wood, DJ QUICK, Cypress Hill, Midnight Star, and Earth, Wind and Fire.

In the mid 90's DJ Boywonder played on the California Music Channel with Bay Area Icon Chuy Gomez. 

From 1997 till present DJ BOYWONDER still rocks the club scenes
( Farenheit, Cactus Club, Agenda, Paradise Beach, Coco Mo's, Motif, Liquid Lounge, Glo, Club Platinum, Mezzanine, Planet-X, Studio 8, the Vault, Chacho's, Milanos, Sunset Bar & Grill) throughout the bay area. 

In 1997, DJ BOYWONDER launched his CD line being one of the premiere DJs to offer mixed tapes and mixes that continue to get played to this day. With over 25 different titles including Back to the House Party(freestyle/bass mix), Droppin that OLD School(70's/80's), BLAZIN series(hip-hop/rap), Inhale House (House/Dance) a brand new store on-line will be opening soon called BUMPINDA90s.com(release date 11/13). 

During the 23 years DJ BOYWONDER has also offered his services in the mobile DJ arena playing for weddings, proms, school dances, concerts quinces, corporate events, sweet sixteens, outdoor events, cruises and anywhere else you might need an entertainer to keep the crowd moving throughout the day and night. To this day DJ BOYWONDER has only promoted through word of mouth. New webpage will be going live in Nov. 2013.
